These Days
Day 2
Remember how on Day 1 I said I wanted to embrace festival style? I think I can safely say I have. I would never wear anything like this in normal life, but that's what makes it so much fun. It was also very nice to wear as little clothing as possible, since it was searing hot. I never understood the kimono trend, but then I realized that I would be spending hours under the Vegas sun - with my skin? I suddenly got the protection part. I also understood the importance of a hat. I'm proud to say no one left with a sunburn.

Sundy Best was the one of 2 acts I went to see off the main stage. And I am so very glad I did. As soon as I saw they had carved a pumpkin, I was completely sold. Then the band came on stage. First off, the keyboardist was wearing Boston t-shrit. All of the yes. Second off, the drummer used a box drum instead of a drumset, dressed like a hippie Marty McFly, and had the most epic flowing locks I've ever seen. HELLS to the yes. The lead singer kept the crowd laughing by commenting on what he saw, and making jokes about the band name. He held up the pumpkin and spelled it out for us with a smile. All of their music is great, and it was very difficult to pick one to feature in this post. It came down to this one and My Sweet Thing, so I reccomend checking that one out too.

Lady Antebellum were also amazing performers. They made us feel like we were all just hanging out together, jamming. They did some great covers, had the audience join in during the chorus, and cracked some jokes. This was their last performance this year and I'm so happy I got a chance to see them.
Hillary's amazing fringe outfit and bejeweled microphone
Dave's awesome disco guitar
The crowd lifted this guy up in his wheelchair for a better view of the show.
